Use Nirena as part of your daily bathing routine. Pump a small amount onto damp hands or washcloth and work gently over the vulva and vaginal opening. Rinse thoroughly. This area is not skin. Like all bodily orifices — mouth, eyes, etc. — the vaginal area has its own distinctive mucous membrane, specially designed to protect that body part. Do not use soaps, shampoos, or other alkaline cleansers, which are only suitable for skin. Those products increase the pH level of the normally acidic vaginal environment, inviting harmful bacteria. Nirena, however, cleans a woman’s most intimate and delicate body parts gently and naturally, preserving normal acidity with a low pH factor of 4.0. It is okay to use Nirena while pregnant. |
